For six years, I had the privilege of serving as the Director of the Maud Morgan Arts Center, where I dedicated my efforts to fostering community through creativity and the arts. In this role, I oversaw the center’s daily operations while guiding its vision for the future, ensuring it remained a dynamic and inclusive space for all.
When the pandemic struck in 2020 and forced us to temporarily close our doors, our team responded with resilience and adaptability. We rebuilt the center’s foundation, making thoughtful pivots to meet the shifting needs of our community during an unprecedented time.
During my tenure, we cultivated meaningful connections through programs like the MMA Arts Afterschool, diverse adult workshops, and innovative programming that adapted to the challenges of the pandemic’s early waves. These initiatives provided creative outlets and a sense of community for people of all ages and backgrounds.
Reflecting on my time at Maud Morgan Arts, I’m deeply proud of the collaborative efforts that strengthened the community and reinforced the power of the arts to inspire, connect, and heal.
